News You Can Use: Washington State Conveyance Management Portal Newsletter

In an effort to continually provide elevator industry information we wanted to share the latest State of Washington L&I Newsletter and how the upcoming conveyance management portal will impact you as follows:

Dear elevator industry business, property owner or manager, and other interested parties,

We may be getting into the dog days of summer for baseball. For the Conveyance Management Portal (CMP, or “Portal”) we’re speeding toward when we go live in October. This newsletter has updates on what’s happening with the project.

Project update testing, testing. Our IT staff is working with the project vendor, Aithent, in testing the many functions for the Portal. We are eliminating bugs now to limit issues that may take place when we launch. There will, of course, be technical assistance available, and like with any new technology, revisions as we move forward.

Making inspections more understandable. We’re making the conveyance reports you receive after an inspection more understandable. You’ll be able to view the inspection report via email and start working on a plan of correction.

We’re updating our website www.Lni.wa.gov/CMP. It will soon have an updated FAQ and Fact Sheet. We’ve also reorganized the newsletters for you to see the steps forward the project has taken. Finally, we’ve added a post card, which you can send to industry friends and let them know what’s happening.

What you can do now.  We’ll have another presentation on the Portal at the next Elevator Safety Advisory Committee (ESAC) meeting, scheduled Aug. 20. From there, training sessions will start in September and October. Here’s what we’re asking you to do to ensure we’re reaching out to the most people we can about the Portal:

If you have questions about the new system, please contact the Elevator Program, at 360-902-6130 or ElevatorSect@Lni.wa.gov.

However, her shared values & trust with the Founder, Jason, whom she worked with for nearly 10 years in the trade, plus her authentic desire to bring a breath of fresh air into the industry, compelled her to join Washington Elevator as a Partner in July of 2022. Sarah strives to provide a positive customer experience in order to build a long-term partnership.

When she isn't leading the team, she loves spending time with her two amazing teenagers, crabbing on Whidbey Island, but on a good night, her favorite activity is beating her husband in a game of cribbage!
