Mechanic Spotlight - Manny

This week, we’re starting a new series called the “Mechanic Spotlight”. This is an opportunity to introduce you to the most important part of business - our mechanics.

First up is Manny!

ELEVATOR EXPERIENCE: Manny joined Washington Elevator in March 2024 as a service mechanic, managing a route throughout the South Seattle and Puget Sound area. He brings over 20 years of experience in the elevator trade, with a background spanning construction, modernization, repair, and service. For a brief time, he also specialized in installing elevator cab interiors—but ultimately returned to his passion for working hands-on with elevators.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. Prior to starting in the elevator industry, Manny served in the US Marine Corps, where he was a Harrier power plant mechanic. (I have since learned that the Harrier is capable of vertical/short takeoff and landing. Very cool!) We appreciate your service to our country!

HOBBIES. When he’s not serving our customers, Manny enjoys skateboarding, going to car races, riding Harley’s and working on cars.

WHAT HIS COWORKERS SAY ABOUT HIM. Our team appreciates Manny’s positive attitude; he always has a smile on his face and is willing to help. I don’t think we’ve ever heard Manny complain! Manny takes pride in building customer relationships and communicating with customers so they are confident in the service they are receiving.

FAVORITE QUOTE. “Adapt and overcome”

Sean McMannis

There is nothing that Sean enjoys more than helping a customer solve an elevator issue. Since 2008, he has witnessed a deterioration in the services provided throughout the industry. Sean prides himself on being responsive and honest. He takes the time to educate elevator owners and help them understand their options. After spending time at various elevator companies, Sean joined Washington Elevator because he believes building owners and managers crave a company focused on people, not profits.

With more than 15 years of elevator experience, Sean’s goal is to proactively address all elevator issues so that you can focus on your business.

When Sean isn’t helping customers, you can find him playing on the soccer field, cheering on the Sounders and enjoying activities with his wife and their two young kids.
